Founder & CEO of Pick a Pier, the Chairman of the Marine Innovation Association
Idan Cohen is a serial entrepreneur with executive-level experience in the public and private sectors. He is the Founder of Pick a Pier, a startup that is at the forefront of transforming the marina operations through smart technology and innovative solutions with a vision to make the industry more connected, profitable and sustainable. Idan is also the chairman of the Marine Innovation Association (iMIA), which is aimed at representing and promoting the Israeli recreational boating ecosystem in the global arena through international partnerships that serve the industry as a whole. Idan serves as iMIA's representative in ICOMIA. As part of this role, he chairs the Smart Marina Working Group, working on the smart marina vision design and implementation guideline, spearheading the work on ICOMIA assuming its role as the global leader on innovation in the recreational boating industry.
Idan has expertise in managing the development of coastlines. In his position as the Chief Operations Officer of Atarim, Tel Aviv's coastline and asset company, he was deeply involved in marina management issues and was part of the team that re-designed and developed the city’s coastline, which is now considered to be one of the top 10 coastlines in the world.
Idan also served as the Chief of Global Operations in an international consulting firm and holds a degree in Communications from the Raichman University in Herzliya, Israel.
